Ingenious compact all-rounder The UniSpread – the versatile universal linkage When it comes to dribble bar systems, obtaining the largest width possible isn’t always the best solution. Depending on the field length, tanker and towing vehicle, many experienced farmers like to use smaller-scale spreading techniques because they are better suited to the conditions and offer easier handling. This is why Vogelsang’s technical developers have now taken the experience and knowledge they’ve gained in recent years, plus the resulting innovative optimizations to our larger linkages, and applied them to develop a much smaller and better manoeuvrable model.

The ExaCut precision distributor: the source of precision At the heart of the UniSpread, the powerful ExaCut reliably shreds fi brous materials to a minimal size. The liquid manure assumes a homogeneous consistency and can therefore be evenly distributed to the hoses. At the same time, foreign matters are reliably separated using an integrated foreign matter separator to prevent clogging. Transport and installation: easy to use throughout the day UniSpread linkages are attached directly behind a tanker using a 4-point hitch or are permanently mounted to a tanker using a 3-point hitch. The plug-and-play system only needs to be mounted on the tank or tractor to get started. It is delivered completely preassembled. The system includes hydraulic safety clamps, which are attached to the frame of the device to hold the folded frame and secure it during transport. Dribble bar Although this technique is not practiced by many users, it’s also possible to pull dribble bar ends over the ground so that they divide the crops, which serves to directly deposit the liquid manure on the ground. The deposited liquid manure seeps right into the soil and the crops form a cover over it, protecting the liquid manure from the wind and sun and preventing the nutrients from escaping as much as possible. Excessive wear and tear due to the literal towing need not be feared, as the dribble bar ends supplied by Vogelsang are made of high-quality plastic. So wear remains minimal and the deposit track remains precise. Trailing shoe For effi cient liquid manure spreading on corn and grassland the UniSpread can be equipped with trailing shoes. These shoes are equipped with an integrated skid that support to divide the growing crops to place the liquid manure in a narrow band behind the skid – and thus under the plant. Based on this the nutrients are placed close to the roots and can be optimally absorbed without polluting the plants themselves. The BlackBird is an innovative form of trailing shoe developed on the basis of intensive studies on the ﬂ ow behavior of liquid manure and complex ﬂ ow simulations. The beak-like and elongated shape calms the liquid manure ﬂ ow at the outlet and provides a more controlled, even ﬂ ow. This results in unprecedented precision in depositing liquid manure directly on or in the ground. In addition, the BlackBird runner has been given a pointed wearing edge for better ground penetration. Like all hose ends on the UniSpread, the BlackBird trailing shoe shows only minor signs of wear, even after years of use. Furthermore, any traces of wear have no inﬂ uence on the shape of the track opened in the ground by the runner. For a simple, quiet transport, the UniSpread is folded completely behind the vehicle. Hydraulic safety clamps on the frame secure the linkage while driving. In the working widths of 9 m and 10.5 m, the automatic folding end arm makes the extremely compact transport dimensions possible.
